Rain Heads are your first line of filtration in a Rainwater Harvesting System if you do not have rain gutter screens. Leaf Eater Rain Heads are made in several different styles and are installed right below your rain gutter spout and screwed to your homes fascia boards. They can also be mid-mounted on the wall for easy maintenance. Rain Heads keep sticks, leafs, acorns, shingle pebbles and other debris from ever having the opportunity to enter your rainwater system. This is an example of a mid-mounted rain head. If you plan to mid-mount in a wet conveyance system, be sure the inlet into your leaf eater is higher in elevation than the inlet of your rainwater tank.
